Vertegy's second LEED Platinum project, this once derelict warehouse in north St. Louis City was renovated for public use and private offices for the not-for-profit William A. Kerr Foundation, which focuses on providing funding and assistance to groups and projects that strive to improve education, enrich the environment and promote health and accessibility. The building serves as a learning center for those seeking to understand how to incorporate sustainability into their own buildings. Multiple renewable energy source strategies were incorporated, including integrated photovoltaic panels, wind-generated power and solar hot water heating. Use of native and adapted species for landscaping; water saving fixtures; recycled, regional and rapidly renewable materials, and a garden roof terrace also contribute to the overall sustainability of the project.

ServicesVertegy provided all LEED-related services including development and implementation of management plans for LEED design and construction integration; teaming charrettes; energy modeling and commissioning coordination; documentation, coordination and submission of LEED certification package and LEED process management with USGBC.
