Suffolk Health & Human Services Building

This building jointly houses the Health Department and Social Services for the city of Suffolk, Virginia. Vertegy helped the team achieve LEED Silver for the three-story office building, which features shared and individual office space, examination rooms, group space and medical storage. The project is designed to be 20% more efficient than a building designed to ASHRAE standards and incorporated a low-emitting strategy to enhance indoor air quality for the building's occupants and visitors. Low-flow plumbing fixtures allow for a savings of more than 41% of potable water usage over a baseline building.
